Resumo

Accessibility in tourism has gained prominence in discussions within the academy, in public and private initiatives, and in society. According to the 2010 IBGE census, the number of people with disabilities increased by 96.8%, in this period there were 790,647 people with disabilities in the state. In the state capital, Manaus had 25.6% of people with some type of disability. Considering that this number has only been increasing over the years, tourist attractions need to be adapted and trained to offer the right way to care for people with disabilities. This research had as general objective to analyze the influence of attitude accessibility for the recommendation of tourist attractions of the historic center of Manaus by people with disabilities or reduced mobility. Thus, the specific objectives were delimited: a) Understanding the concept of accessibility, people with disabilities and variations of accessibility; (b) Examine the attitude of officials towards visitors with disabilities or reduced mobility; c) Measure the degree of satisfaction of people with disabilities or reduced mobility who frequent the attractions of the historic center of Manaus. To respond to these objectives, a questionnaire was applied as a target audience to people with disabilities or reduced mobility. Regarding the methodology, exploratory-descriptive research was carried out through bibliographic survey, documentary, and questionnaire application. A quali-quantitative approach was adopted. The results indicate that attitude accessibility is a factor of great relevance in the choice of people with disabilities to attend an attraction, implying considerably in the recommendation of these attractions to other people.
