Resumo
The research aimed to analyze videos available on the YouTube platform in order to find content that works on Mathematical Scientific Dissemination, which makes mathematics more accessible to the lay public, thus contributing to a more inclusive and democratic society. This study was motivated by the perception that many students demonstrate resistance to mathematics due to a lack of understanding of its relevance in the educational and social context. The methodology adopted was exploratory and descriptive, with a qualitative approach. It was necessary to establish criteria for the categorization of Scientific Dissemination, which included simplification, clarity, engagement and relevance, in addition to search criteria on the video platform, such as keywords and filtering parameters. We carried out a content analysis of the videos found, observing that, although limited in number, they reflect the commitment of professionals to making science more accessible and understandable, using digital technologies and audiovisual resources with the aim of democratizing knowledge.
