Organização comunitária e a expansão das lideranças evangélicas na comunidade do maranhão – Pin/Am

Abstract

This article aimed to investigate the community organization and the expansion of evangelical leadership in the Community of Maranhão, municipality of Parintins/AM, based on the presence of leaders of the Evangelical Baptist and Christian Church of Brazil. As specific objectives, we sought to identify the evangelical leaders in the community and their historical context, describe the activities and performance of religious representatives in the community and provide an overview of the protagonism of evangelical leaders in the Community of Maranhão. Regarding the methodology adopted, the dialectical and qualitative method was used, with exploratory and descriptive research, where a bibliographic review of the topic was carried out, field work to survey evangelical leaders and later, interviews. The results of the research demonstrated relevant contributions on the territorialities and mobility of evangelical leaders in the rural communities of Parintins that, over the years, configure the daily life and identity of community life.
