Resumo
Biology is a fascinating discipline and little understood by the lack of interpretation
and understanding of the essence of its contents, often distorted by the lay media
that mislead young people and cause real damage to scientific knowledge. The
teaching of Biology in Brazil is outdated, out of date and decontextualized in large
part by the lack of teacher training, the lack of motivation of the students, absence of
practical classes and lack of government investment in education. There is growing
concern of education professionals and scholars with the teaching of biology and the
quality of education in the country, once the demand for knowledge and technology
change with absurd speeds overnight, education on the other hand continues to
stagnate. In view of the above, it is necessary to seek efficient solutions capable of
remedying and trying to overcome this problem. We have recorded here our small
yet simple contribution, in order to provide some possible suggestions that can
improve the quality of classes, teaching and learning of Almirante Barroso State
School students. And that this and other initiatives can be done for the sake of
education, of more students and schools throughout the country. "We plant a seed
that needs to be watered and cultivated, in the collective to develop, and to produce
healthy fruits so that we can reap."
