O teatro comunitário e a Fundação Tarumã de Artes Integradas

Abstract

This monograph reports on the process of implementing a cultural community space, the result of provocations arising from teacher training in the UEA Theater Course. The research problem originates from the lack of cultural space that promotes access to art and cultural training in the Tarumã neighborhood, on the outskirts of the city of Manaus. I look back at the process of building the space and the first artistic activities carried out at Fundação Tarumã de Artes Integradas in partnership with the Art and Community Project of the Theater Course, based on a qualitative approach, which outlines the challenges, problems and potential, and the personal and social achievements resulting from the development of an action plan and the creation of a foundation.
