Banda de música para o corpo de bombeiros militar do Amazonas: estudo de viabilidade para sua implantação

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the feasibility of establishing a music band within the Amazonas Military Fire Department, considering consolidated experiences in other Brazilian military organizations. The proposal stems from the observation that, despite the institutional relevance of the CBMAM, its structure does not yet include a musical ensemble capable of representing the corporation in official ceremonies, community events, and solemnities. The rationale for the research lies in the symbolic, cultural, and organizational importance of military bands, which, in addition to strengthening identity and internal cohesion, act as instruments of social engagement and enhance the institution’s public image. The methodology adopted combines a qualitative approach of exploratory and descriptive nature, including bibliographic and documentary research as well as, in order to map existing structures, identify required resources, and propose guidelines adapted to the Amazonian context. Partial results highlight that there is historical, cultural, and legal support for the creation of a music band in the CBMAM, indicating that the current absence constitutes a symbolic and organizational gap. The analysis shows that the adaptation of existing regulations, especially those applied in other corporations, may enable its implementation without the immediate need for new legislation. It is concluded that the creation of a music band in the CBMAM is feasible and represents an institutional strategy capable of strengthening organizational culture, valuing military traditions, and expanding integration between the corporation and society.
