Abstract

This article aims to present the importance of linguistic variations and the influence of these variants for the free trade sector in the municipality of Tabatinga-am, specifically on the municipal edge. This article shows the influence of language contact on the economic sector of the border region, as well as the variants on the population that transit daily along the border, highlighting the positive and negative points for the economic sector of the region. We address the importance of greater investments in the sector, which moves a large part of municipal revenue, in addition to the sector generating jobs for the population of two countries.
