Turismo de base comunitária: um olhar sobre a comunidade Santo Antônio do Ramal do Mamori, Careiro – Am

Abstract

This research has as its theme community-based tourism (TBC) and its possible practice in an Amazonian community, and the general objective was to analyze the scenario existing along the BR-319, especially with regard to the Santo Antônio do Ramal do Mamori community, Careiro - AM. With regard to the specific objectives were: to characterize the community Santo Antônio do Ramal do Mamori, Careiro Castanho - AM; understand the understanding of community residents about community-based tourism and tourism; and finally, map existing activities in the community that are directly related to tourism. The research approach was bibliographic, documentary and participant, with adaptations to the pandemic period that was experienced, mainly in the State of Amazonas. It was the municipality of Careiro Castanho - Amazonas - located around the BR-319, highway that connects Manaus to Porto Velho, which is in the process of licensing for repaving. Research points to a large increase in deforestation and flows of people in the area of influence of the highway. As a result, the tourist activities developed by the community were mapped, followed by the elaboration of scripts, stressing the importance of establishing a network among families in the process of developing the TBC. Safety protocols were developed for the activities through a workshop and possible potential partners were identified to support tourism activities.
