Resumo
This dissertation deals with research with a phenomenological approach. The research
question was developed as follows: In what learning experiences, in Science teaching, is the
child's body involved? From the question, the general objective was developed, which aims to
understand the learning experiences, in Science teaching, in which the child's body is
involved. To this end, three specific objectives were listed: to investigate, through research
into the state of knowledge, the theoretical foundation of theses and dissertations that address
the topic of the child body, affection, experience, creation and teaching of science in the
period from 2018 to 2022; know the concept of experience and creation from Henri Bergson;
describe the daily life and activities carried out in Science classes, considering the
involvement of the child's body in learning experiences that allow creation in Science
teaching. The field research was carried out in a public school in the municipal network, with
students in the 5th year of the initial years of Elementary School. Data production was carried
out through participant observation and the development of two classes on the topic of solid
waste, in order to obtain written records from the students. We highlight the activities that
were developed and the analyzes that were carried out based on Merleau-Ponty's
phenomenology and in conjunction with the Bergsonism method, especially intuition. As a
result of the research, we see the importance of looking at the child's body, as well as the
nature of the experiences that are being developed in the classroom. The discussions
presented in this research encourage us to look at the child's body that is in life and feels life.
Even though the schooling process has the prominent objective of offering memorization
experiences, children's bodies resist in the sense that there is no way to imprison a life that
pulses and is updated through valid experiences.
