Resumo

Based on the principles of Ethnomathematics, a research was carried out qualitative nature, having contributions from Ethnographic research with the objective of understanding how the making of bakers can become a previous organizer and trigger mathematical learning significant. Such research was carried out at the Monte Alegre farm located within the municipality of Parintins. For the construction of the data we used narrative interview, participant observation and photographic record of the process of making bakers. Since then, the triangulation of data for a better interpretation of the constructed information. The results of this research allow us to affirm that the process of making of bakers has the potential to be used as a prior organizer of the school mathematical learning, therefore, mobilizes mathematical ideas such as perception, mental calculations, estimation, comparisons, classifications, measurements and explanations throughout the weaving process and that could be used in school, by students who live or know this process.
