Levantamento das hortaliças mais consumidas e cultivadas no Município de Parintins – AM

Abstract

The Municipality of Parintins is located on the right bank of the Amazon River, known for its festivities in the region, such as the Folk Festival. However, it is also rich in plant diversity, and vegetables are part of Parintinense's daily life, on the consumer's table, and highlighting the economic potential of the same grown in the municipality was of great relevance. The research had a research methodology, exploratory, field research through conversations in the city's fairs, as well as informal conversations in the places of cultivation found in the city, highlighting the collection of material from the vegetable species for botanical identification. The results obtained from the most consumed and cultivated vegetables were satisfactory, where it can be observed which vegetables have a greater demand, desired by the consumer, evidencing their economic potential, and easy access to the product.
