Wiyae - mostra de música indígena do Amazonas: afirmação e valorização da cultura indígena e suas possibilidades turísticas.

Abstract

This research analyzes the relations around affirmation and valorization of the indigenous culture in the First Indigenous Music Show of Amazonas - Wiyae, as well as its tourist possibilities. Additionally, it has as general objective to highlight the importance of strengthening ethnic identity and cultural value of indigenous people in the city of Manaus through this ethno musical event. In addition to identifying their contributions to the strengthening of cultural attractions in the Amazon and possible benefits to local tourism. As for the methodology, it is based on an essentially qualitative approach, using bibliographical, documentary and field research. Data collection was carried out within the network of computers based on social media queries. The results obtained demonstrated that Wiyae materialized as a stage of ethnic affirmations of the indigenous communities and promoted incentives for the valorization of this culture in the city of Manaus. Likewise, the potential of tourism attractiveness has been verified since it has characteristics peculiar enough when compared to the national context. So, this can consequently bring significant benefits to the local community through the multiplier effect of tourism.
