Resumo
This study aims to know the main cultural and identity aspects of the deaf subject for possible methodological adaptations in dance teaching, from a non-hearing perspective. A systematic review was carried out looking for scientific productions (monographs, dissertations, theses and articles) that presented methodological proposals using artifacts from the deaf culture to teach dance to the deaf. The search was carried out on the Oasis platform and on the repositories of colleges and universities that offer higher education in dance in Brazil. After the stage of selection of academic works, the search resulted in a total of 4 publications found. The small amount of findings is a sample of the reality of dance teaching for this audience, which reveals the scarcity of proposals, resulting from a series of factors that include both the legislation that governs the Brazilian educational system, historical, sociocultural and biopsychological factors.
