Uma aplicação do diagnóstico IFAC em organizações de proteção ambiental sediadas em Manaus/AM.

Abstract

The article analyzed sustainability in the third sector through a case study developed in two environmental protection organizations in Manaus/AM. The research involved collecting data through documents available on the official websites of the entities analyzed, such as financial and activity reports, codes of conduct and integrity programs. A structured questionnaire was prepared based on the adapted checklist subdivided into three categories: environmental, social and governance. The results indicated a positive contribution of these organizations in environmental education and community development, in line with their role in promoting the SDGs. The study also highlighted areas for improvement, such as defining clear environmental goals and creating a specific budget for sustainable actions. The study offers a practical model to strengthen the sustainable impact of these entities and contributes to future research by presenting a replicable and adaptable methodology. The application of the checklist demonstrates how global tools can be contextualized for local realities, enabling comparative studies in other regions, in addition to stimulating the development of new metrics and instruments that deepen the analysis of sustainability.
