Resumo

This conclusion work of the Full Licentiate Degree in Pedagogy at State University of Amazonas UEA-CESTB has as general objective understand the contributions of social role games to the development mental health of the preschool-aged child, with the main focus on the child as a social subject. The specific objectives are: to know the stages of periodization of the child from birth to six years of age according to Elkonin; to analyze the importance of social role games in Early Childhood Education for the child development; discuss the role of the early childhood education professional for greater results in the processes of learning and development of child. The research was characterized in the qualitative approach of bibliographic review. To substantiate the research, we base ourselves on the research and discussions of Vygotsky (1998); Leontiev (2004); Elkonin (2009); Tuleski and Eidt (1978); mukhina (1996); Cheroglu and Magalhães (2017). As a result, we conclude that the game of social roles is the main activity in preschool and needs to be constituted as a fundamental instrument in the pedagogical work in Early Childhood Education. Our purpose is that this work be another inspiration for new studies on the psychological development of preschool children. Through this research, we were able to look at Early Childhood Education in a challenging way, seeing it as a science and that it depends on us childhood educators that there is an epistemological posture alive, with theoretical training and, above all, being able to establish dialogues with children through games to enhance their development
