Resumo

The history of my Magüta people has long been passed down orally from generation to generation by our ancestors, but due to the misconceptions of non-indigenous people who have internalized our culture, beliefs, and even the names given by our ancestors, society neither accepts nor respects it. It is evident that the Oregü, Ticuna, and other indigenous traditions are considered myths and are not yet accepted as indigenous literature. The influence of white culture has led indigenous peoples to lose many of their customs, beliefs, and even their culture because of this fear of accepting us as we are. We are a different people, with our own organizations, culture, literature, and beliefs. Why does this bother people so much? We are a people who live a life of well-being, without greed or exploitation. This work aims to report how the Oregü traditions are important in the construction of indigenous identity and in the recovery of Magüta culture. The research addresses the few works done by the indigenous people themselves and intends to recover the names of the Magüta people within the Oregü traditions. The methodology for this article was based on bibliographic readings. This approach emphasizes productions that respect the processes and constructions led by indigenous people and how these can help in the recovery of traditions and the Oregü of the Magüta people, of which there are many Oregü that have not yet been written, stories in which culture and the body/territory are the main element.
