Resumo

This paper describes the experience of a supervised internship at Coronel José de Assunção State School, where history classes were taught to 6th and 7th grade students. The main objective was to reflect on the activities developed during the internship, including the challenges faced, the methodologies applied, and the results achieved. During the internship, content on ancient civilizations, such as the Hebrews, Phoenicians, and Persians, and the colonization of Spanish America were covered. Classes were planned and delivered using a variety of resources, such as slides, short videos, and discussions, seeking to diversify teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students. Furthermore, special attention was paid to the inclusion of students with disabilities, which required methodological adaptations. Analysis of the results showed a significant improvement in student engagement and understanding, particularly through participatory approaches. It is concluded that the internship was essential for the development of teaching skills and for the adoption of a reflective and inclusive pedagogy, contributing to a greater understanding of contemporary demands in the teaching of History.
