Resumo
Pregnancy is a physiological phase in a woman's life. However, it demands special health
care, food and nutrition due to the possibility of unfavorable outcomes for the mother-child
binomial. Objective: to understand the food consumption and lipid and glycemic profile of
pregnant women treated at the Family Health Strategy (ESF) in the city of Manaus, checking
whether there is an occurrence of gestational dyslipidemia. Method: study was descriptive,
cross-sectional, quantitative, using primary data collected through: applied questionnaire,
Electronic Citizen Record (PEC), Pregnant Woman's Handbook. Results: sociodemographic
profile showed women under 25 years old (44.6%), mixed race (75.4%), complete secondary
education (53.8%), without paid work (50.8%), with family income of a minimum wage
(47.5%). Regarding eating habits, pregnant women prepared food (73.8%), preferring cooked
foods (58.3%). The accumulated consumption of ultra-processed drinks was 65.3%, and ultra-
processed foods included instant noodles (52.9%), stuffed biscuits (68.6%), sausages (60.3%),
fast food (61. 9%). The accumulated consumption of healthy foods included fruits (98.8%),

by PEC and gestational age, with overweight standing out in both. The lipid profile showed
altered values of TC (20.4%), HDL-s (50%), LDL-c (4.2%), TG (20.4%). In the association
between lipid profile and BMI, the following occurred: low weight (3.9%), normal weight
(31.3%), overweight (29.4%), obesity (32.2%). Dyslipidemia was confirmed. Conclusion:
pregnant women are financially dependent, limiting their food choices and opting for ultra-
processed foods. There is no consistency in requesting blood glucose and lipid levels.
Underweight, overweight and obesity occur.
