Resumo
The experiences lived in the school environment throughout the degree course are very important, as they will serve to improve and qualify the academic in the practice of teaching in the exercise of their profession. The Pedagogical Residency Program (RP) is part of a Federal Government initiative through a National Teacher Training Policy that aims to induce the improvement and valorization of the practical training of teachers in the training process in undergraduate courses, providing their immersion in the environment educational. Thus, this research is justified by the need to understand the importance of initial teacher training programs from the perspective of graduates in biological sciences. Given this, the present work aimed to understand the importance of the Pedagogical Residency program in teaching training and performance in the perception of Biological Sciences graduates in the municipality of Tabatinga-AM. Seeking shows the relationship between theory and practice in training and discrediting the main barriers found in the school environment, as well as reporting the main contributions that the program offers. This is a qualitative and quantitative exploratory research using a questionnaire with open questions for data collection. To analyze the results, all responses were grouped and identified as the most frequent responses. Through the results it can be seen how significantly PR contributed to teacher training.
