Abstract

The level of degradation in the environment is noticeable due to the unthinking actions of man towards the environment, since the resources available in the environment are essential for the maintenance of the population's life. According to the above, this work aimed to characterize the environmental perception of rural farmers who market products in a fair in the city of Parintins - AM. The methodology used was based on the application of semi-structured questionnaires to producers, with questions related to the concept of the environment, natural resources, preservation and conservation of the environment. The results point out that most producers have an ecological conception that emphasize the physical elements of nature, such as forests and rivers, and highlight the importance of conservation and preservation of these elements.
