O sistema turístico e o Turismo acessível: onde evoluir?

Abstract

This research identified a gap in the discussion about urban tourism planning for the accessible and inclusive tourism promotion and proposed a bibliographical analysis focusing on the Tourism Approach System of Roberto C. Boullón (2002) and Mario Beni (1998) and information about the Accessible Tourism theme, based on the Law, Decrees and Technical Norms, available in the Brazilian Legislation in defense of the People with Disabilities; and, Guidelines for Accessible Tourism Charts, available on the Ministry of Tourism website. It then presents data from the IBGE (2010), for the universe of people with disabilities in Amazonas, resident in an urban area. It is assumed that the Tourist System is not organized to serve this public and the available material and legislation directs the guidelines only to the people with reduced mobility and / or wheelchair. In this context, the question is: How can the inclusion of the visually impaired, hearing impaired or reduced mobility in the emerging segment of accessible tourism be developed, in view of the current Tourism System Structure (SISTUR)? As for the means, the humanistic approach research adopts the hypothetical-deductive method and the technique of bibliographic survey. As for the ends, it is exploratory, descriptive and explanatory. This study will not present a response to the question asked, but it is proposed to open the discussion on the emerging theme within the scope of tourism activity.
