Resumo

The present work presents a research with the theme: "The Use of the Hand Talk Application as an Aid in the Teaching of the Learning of Flat Geometric Figures in LIBRAS", in the class of the 4th year of Elementary School, held in a Municipal School in the municipality of Itacoatiara. The aim of this study was to measure the usability of the Hand Talk application with hearing and deaf students of the 4th year of elementary school I to teach the manual alphabet, basic signs and signaling of the Geometric Planes figures, as to their learning potential using LIBRAS. Seeking through the project to achieve answers to the specific objectives: to identify the difficulties of learning in basic signs among students and the signs of basic geometric figures in LIBRAS; to promote classroom interaction with hearing and deaf students as an aid to the Hand Talk application using the LIBRAS and to verify the contribution of the Hand Talk application as an educational tool in the teaching and learning process for teaching the alphabet, basic signs and signaling of the flat geometrical figures. In a careful way, higher level studies were searched for related subjects and theoretical underpinnings, being essential for the elaboration of this work according to the proposed theme. Introducing to students and teachers that the use of this application can serve as an aid in the communication and interaction of individuals in the educational environment. This research used qualitative methods and participatory observation to achieve its objectives. To collect data, questionnaires, activities, participatory observations, photographic records were carried out and conversations with the teachers were fundamental to the results of this study. At the end of this research, that technological resources can contribute in a significant way in education, especially of the applications that can translate in LIBRAS content addressed in the classroom where deaf students were excluded that were included in the dynamics of the class.
