Resumo
The trumpet player, as any other instrumentalist must have complete control of the technical, theoretical, musical and cultural knowledge of its instruments. The present work explored the concepts for technical elements and the different conceptions of the teachers who wrote about teaching the trumpet. The elements chosen for this research were breathing, articulation and flexibility. All the information has been extracted from bibliographic sources, as well as published articles, magazines and internet. The possible problems were presented and the alternatives proposed by the researched authors. Therefore, the different ways of teaching provided tools and recommendations to solve technical problems.
