Relato de experiência em pesquisa histórica: trajetória política de Wilson Paula de Sá em Novo Aripuanã

Abstract

This experience report, in the form of historical research, focuses on describing the research into the life story of Mr. Wilson Paula de Sá, a prominent political figure who rose to the position of first mayor of Novo Aripuanã. The objective is to elucidate and document the trajectory of this important politician for this locality, highlighting his achievements, but, most importantly, understanding the dynamics of development of the city and its surroundings. The methodology used for this purpose consisted of a qualitative analysis of documents from digital and personal archives. Oral history techniques were also used to gather additional information. It was found that Wilson Paula de Sá had a very turbulent and controversial political history, influencing the directions that defined the structural and political development of the municipality. His ability to connect with regional political spheres placed him as an important player in defining the direction of local politics.
