Resumo

Aquatic plants are of great ecological importance, mainly because they are the main primary producers of organic matter, an extremely important factor for maintaining the various life forms of aquatic environments. This study aims to conduct a survey of the diversity of aquatic plants (Angiosperms) around the lake Terruã in the municipality of Pauíni- AM. Given that the municipality has a large number of lakes and streams and due to the poor knowledge of the diversity of aquatic plants, this research contributes to the knowledge of the aquatic flora of the municipality as well as the maintenance of these environments. A mapping of the area to be studied was carried out and all species of fertile aquatic angiosperms were collected, from December 2018 to February 2019, with weekly collections to follow the plant phenology. Twelve families, 17 genera and 21 species were listed; The family Onagraceae presented the largest number of genera and species, but throughout the research it was observed that the most abundant species belongs to the genus Eichhornia, highlighting the species E. crassipes, which presented higher plant density present in all collection points. . At the end of the plant identifications, an illustrated guide was prepared containing the botanical information of the species found. The knowledge of floristic diversity and local environmental conditions led to the conclusion that aquatic plants have adaptations and distribution fo
