Turismo no município de Itapiranga - AM: uma análise da atividade turística

Abstract

The initial objective of this work was to analyze how the pilgrimages influenced the pilgrim's journey, how these pilgrimages were lived and what values they attributed to the municipality and especially how it was articulated for such activity. However, the municipality of Itapiranga lacks a lot of basic infrastructure, taking into account the current situation of the locality, it was verified the necessity to do a qualitative research, to better analyze the proposed objectives, and the method used was the phenomenology, study of the set of phenomena and how they manifest through time and space. He identified a precariousness in some hotels and inns of the region, as well as in restaurants, influencing the demand and choice of the guests. There was a bibliographical and field research, where specific data of the locality were analyzed, besides the application of questionnaires for both involved.The municipality needs a qualification in the service and tourism area, as the owners of these establishments do not have these specific qualifications. At the end of this analysis, it is apparent that pilgrimages have great potential, but this is not specifically being planned in a professional way which causes the frustration of visitors to this tourism product.
