O imaginário como fator influenciador do turismo na cidade de Manaus

Abstract

The imaginary can be considered as an area of knowledge that has gone through various challenges in order to reach the point of its autonomy. There are various interpretations geared towards functions and interpretations geared towards the imaginary. Thus, these developed interpretations and functions are directly linked to the schools and their corresponding perspectives on the imaginary. Local beasts such as jaguars, indigenous people, stories from colonial times about the Rubber Barons influence the way national and international tourists see the city. Some may seek to get to know it, driven by the adrenaline of demystifying the unknown; others may fear the local culture due to pure ignorance. Based on this, the general objective of this research was to understand how the imaginary can influence tourism in the city of Manaus. This is a bibliographic research carried out in the main platforms such as Scielo and Google Scholar, presenting the main myths and imaginaries that involve the experience of tourists in the city of Manaus.
