Resumo
This article aims to analyze the factors that influence the motivation of the employees
of the State School Professor Júlio César de Moraes Passos. Important and
essential concepts for understanding what motivation refers to and how it can be
used in organizations as a management tool were addressed. The methodology was
a case study and its analysis was quantitative with the application of a questionnaire.
To interpret the data, the number of times each questionnaire alternative was chosen
was cataloged. The results show that most employees are dissatisfied or
unmotivated with some aspect of professional life and the most cited items in this
regard are low pay, lack of organization structure to perform their work and lack of
recognition. The factors that most contribute positively to motivation are interpersonal
relationships with co-workers and management and the stability of the public service.
