Aspectos Culturais na Tríplice Fronteira: Festival Internacional de Tribos do Alto Solimões – Tabatinga- AM

Abstract

This research focuses on the International Festival of Tribes of the Upper Solimões (FESTISOL), held in Tabatinga-AM, with the aim of understanding the birth, development, and consolidation of the largest festival in the Amazonian Triple Frontier. Using an interdisciplinary methodology, we explored the principles of oral history, focusing on Thompson's studies; conducted independent interviews with the festival's pioneers; and consulted sources that studied folklore, such as Câmara Cascudo. The study also focused on the importance of the myths, legends, and artistic expressions of the Tikuna and Omagua tribes as a foundation for the expression of the region's culture.
