Gerenciamento do descarte de resíduos químicos (revelador e fixador) do setor e radiologia dos hospitais do município de Parintins AM

Abstract

The radiology sector lists a number of challenges, as there is no effective management in the treatment of solid waste that is generated from the use of X-ray devices, especially with respect to the conventional device. In Brazil, the rules and resolutions that govern this sector of the medical field are not fully complied with. Therefore, the objective of this work was to know the management of residues from radiographic processing in the hospitals Jofre Cohen and Padre Colombo in the city of Parintins-AM. The data obtained for carrying out this work were given through interviews through telephone contact due to the Corona Virus pandemic. The interviews took place with professionals in the radiology sector of the two public hospitals in the municipality of Parintins. With that, the data showed that there is a disregard on the part of the public power with the disposal of waste generated in the radiology sector and that if there is a master plan within the hospitals. The survey also showed that professionals are unaware of the rules that govern their professions and that the waste generated is disposed of inappropriately in the environment.
