Depressão Infantil e Educação Escolar: O que sabem os docentes?

Abstract

The Course Completion Work presents a process of explaining the main characteristics of childhood depression and its impacts on school education and learning. The teachers' knowledge on the subject was investigated at the teaching unit in the city of Tabatinga. Still, this work aims to provide introductory subsidies in approaching the subject of childhood depression with the families of the students, the social context of development and, mainly, at school. And for such an investigation, bibliographical and field research was carried out. From a perceived need both in the family, social and school environment, this work intends to contribute with the purpose of minimizing the suffering and implications caused by childhood depression.
