Resumo
The objective of this monograph was to kwon the performance of graduates of the Dance degree course at ESAT in the period 2016-2018 and compare it with the pedagogical proposal of the course. The field exposed some gaps that need to be revised in the contents of certain subjects, especially in early childhood education and the admission of professionals from other areas to occupy the Art component. The was a lack of teachers to work with the Art component, especially Dance in Basic Education, and one of the factors would be the lack of public competition to fill the gaps left by the non-observance of dance at school, considered essential by the Common National Curriculum Base. There are mismatches between the number of graduates to take the vacancies in public and private basic education and the reality experienced by graduates with a degree in dance. Another focal point was the dissemination of Covid19, as we heard from respondents, many teachers had to choose to take on different positions to keep their jobs. The situation became unbearable with layoffs and suspended contracts, in addition to the closure of small institutions.
