The University of the State of Amazonas started the activities of scientific initiation in 2003, with the help of the recently created Fundação of Support to Research of the State of Amazonas – FAPEAM for the implementation of the Support Program for Scientific Initiation of Amazonas (PAIC) and an exclusive scientific initiation program for students from the interior of the State of Amazonas (Strategic Program of Support for the Integration of Students from the Interior to Health Sciences. of 2010 were implemented, with the support of the National Council of Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), the Programs Institutional Scientific Initiation Scholarships (PIBIC and PIBIC-Af), and Initiation in Technological Development and Innovation (PIBITI). The 2012-2013 edition was guided by public notice No. 49/2012-GR/ UEA. 524 students and 251 mentor teachers participated in this edition, developing scientific initiation projects and five UEA units located in Manaus (School of Health Sciences, Escola of Arts and Tourism, Escola Normal Superior, Escola Superior de Technology, Higher School of Social Sciences) and four Study Centers Superiors located in the interior of the State (Centro de Estudos Superiores of Itacoatiara, Center for Higher Studies of Tabatinga, Center for Superiors of Parintins and Center for Higher Studies of Tefé).

The State University of Amazonas started the activities of scientific initiation in 2003, with the help of the newly created Research Support Foundation of the State of Amazonas – FAPEAM for the implementation of the Scientific Initiation Support Program of the Amazonas (PAIC) and an exclusive scientific initiation program for students from the interior of the State of Amazonas (Strategic Program to Support the Integration of Interior Students to Science of Health. As of 2010, they were implemented, with support of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), Institutional Scholarship Programs for Scientific Initiation (PIBIC and PIBIC-Af), and Initiation in Technological Development and Innovation (PIBITI). The 2013-2014 edition was guided by public notice Nº 22/2013-GR/ UEA. 593 students and 275 professors participated in this edition, developing scientific initiation projects and five UEA units located in Manaus (School of Health Sciences, Higher School of Arts and Tourism, Higher Normal School, Higher School of Technology, Higher School of Social Sciences) and four Centers for Higher Studies located in the interior of the State (Center for Higher Studies in Itacoatiara, Center for Higher Studies in Tabatinga, Center for Higher Studies in Parintins and Center for Higher Studies in Tefé). Repositório Institucional da Universidade do Estado do Amazonas: relato de experiência

The implementation of Institutional Repositories has been presented as a viable solution for the dissemination of research results, promoting the diffusion of scientific communication. In this way, they are like strategies widely used by universities and research institutes with the aim of gathering, organizing and disseminating scientific productions. They are architected within the philosophy of the Open Access Movement, thus ensuring the preservation, free access and wide dissemination of institutions and researchers, with this attitude, ensures the preservation, free access and for that reason increases the visibility of the institution and especially the researcher. The present work is an account of the implementation process of the Institutional Repository of the University of the State of Amazonas, whose objective is to contribute with solutions practiced from scripts or steps proposed in the literature consulted for the obstacles experienced. The methodology used was exploratory, generated through a bibliographical survey with a qualitative perspective, including main concepts of Open Access, DSpace Platform and Institutional Repositories. As a result, operating policies, community awareness, elected free access software, information structure and relevant characteristics are presented. It is concluded that the UEA Institutional Repository will need to be dynamic, adopting marketing actions for greater participation and participation of the scientific community, frequent updates of the platform and personnel with participation in events and the future implementation of Research Repository. The 2020-2021 edition of the UEA Scientific and Technological Initiation Program was developed with support from the Amazonas State Research Support Foundation and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development and guided by notice Nº036/2020–GR/UEA and the Supplementary notice No. 057/2020-GR/UEA. 410 students and 391 faculty advisors participated in this edition, developing scientific initiation projects in five UEA units located in Manaus (Higher School of Health Sciences, Higher School of Arts and Tourism, Higher Normal School, Higher School of Technology, Higher School of Social Sciences) and five Higher Studies Centers located in the interior of the State (Center for Higher Studies of Itacoatiara, Center for Higher Studies of Tabatinga, Center for Higher Studies of Parintins, Center for Higher Studies of Tefé and Center for Higher Studies of São Gabriel da Cachoeira). This publication, organized by the Dean of Research and Postgraduate Studies at UEA, presents the simple summaries prepared by researchers after the completion of the projects, with the individual content of the summaries being the responsibility of their authors.

Throughout our country's history, ethnic and racial minorities have suffered the worst forms of torture already witnessed by the human race. Death and slavery of people origins and black people kidnapped from their countries were the driving force that boosted the economy of the former Brazilian colony. As much as it permeates our society the idea that this is a distant past, which no longer exerts influence on economic, labor and social relations today, we came to the conclusion, through of bibliographical research, that the slavery origins of our country still echo in a resounding today. Structural racism, the main theme of various studies contemporaries about the modern way in which racism operates, can be considered as the invisible executioner that violently affects all social spheres of minorities ethnic and racial. The difficulty in accessing housing, education and employment today are colonial legacies that reflect a not-so-distant past and a structure of social exclusion built over decades, obtaining even more complexity over the course of of years.
VII encontro estadual de história da ANPUH-AM - História do Amazonas: conexões e desafios

This thematic symposium aims to explore the intersection between political history, elites and institutions, offering a platform for investigations that analyze the role of elites political and social in the formation and transformation of institutions over time. Furthermore, we seek to understand how power dynamics influence the configuration and functioning of institutional structures in different historical contexts. Considering the complexity of relations between elites and institutions, special attention will be paid analysis of the strategies adopted by elites to maintain or expand their power within political structures, economic and social. This includes dialogue between works and investigations into networks of influence, alliances policies and mechanisms of reproduction of elitist power through over time. Furthermore, the symposium seeks to explore how economic, social and cultural changes have impacted power dynamics and relations between elites, institutions and political movements throughout the history of Brazil and Amazon. Justification: In the last fifteen years, it has been observed if in the Brazilian context a resurgence of interest academic focus on the history of elites, marking a significant change both in the historiographical approach as sociological.
