Item Análise das atividades especiais dos adolescentes com Síndrome de Down em uma Organização Social, na cidade de Manaus - Am(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2023-03-03) Mota, Talia de Oliveira; Pinheiro, Valdelize ElvasThe main objective of this study is to analyze special activities for adolescents with Down Syndrome in a social organization in the city of Manaus-Amazonas. Method: this is an exploratory descriptive study, of a quantitative and qualitative nature, carried out with mothers and caregivers of people with Down Syndrome. The participants signed the informed consent form and answered a questionnaire with sociodemographic questions, the daily life and lifestyle of adolescents with DS, and how the Social Organization influenced the development of these individuals during adolescence. The findings were tabulated, the material was organized and read. Results: everyone reported carrying out physical activities and educational workshops at the Organization. Participants demonstrated knowledge of laws and guidelines that underlie the care and inclusion of their family members with DS. It was also found that 100% of the main caregivers are mothers and that 90% of these families depend on the benefit received by the person with DS. Furthermore, most of these people with DS are illiterate. Conclusion: care centered on individuality and inclusion, not only during adolescence, but also in other phases of the life of a person with Down Syndrome, highlights the contribution to their physical, mental and social development, in the present and in the following yearsItem Tecnologia educacional sobre diabetes mellitus tipo 1 para adolescentes: produção baseada em evidências(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2023-03-03) Brandão, Rebekah Bastos; Ferreira, Darlisom de Sousa; Teixeira, ElizabethProduce an educational guide based on scientific evidence available in literature on self-care strategies for adolescents living with diabetes mellitus type 1. Method: Methodological study carried out in two phases: literature review and production of the first version of the guide. Results: The revision of the guide made it possible to access 11 articles. From the analysis and synthesis of the articles, 9 generating themes emerged. The first version of guide was organized based on the generating themes. The Guide contains texts with language simple illustrations that refer to the texts. Conclusion: The guide was produced based on scientific evidence that provides safe and up-to-date information and can contribute to the adoption of an appropriate lifestyle, a fundamental factor in controlling metabolic rate of adolescents with type 1 Diabetes Mellitus
