Item Qualidade de vida no trabalho de servidores públicos em pré-aposentadoria: um estudo de caso em uma fundação hospitalar na cidade de Manaus-AM(Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, 2019-12-13) Alencar, Patrícia Santos; Ferreira, Rejane Gomes; Trindade, Carly PinheiroThe study aims to contribute to the quality of working life of public servants in the preretirement phase of a hospital foundation and to raise expectations about retirement. It was used as methodological approach of the case study of qualitative and quantitative character. For data collection, we used a form distributed in 3 blocks that involved issues related to retirement and quality of working life, considering the physical / health, personal, psychological and professional domains. It was found that the quality of working life of the worker in the vicinity of his retirement encompasses both individual aspects and aspects of the work context, as mentioned in studies of quality of working life. The results provide relevant information for managers regarding the quality of working life and the perceptions/expectations of preretirement workers. From the perspective of ergonomics, it is necessary to study the adaptation of the work environment to the worker, in order to minimize the damage caused by the repetition of movements, and aiming at a better work organization, the processes can be redesigned in order to adapt activities and divide the tasks. As for people management, it is important to pursue strategies that strengthen the active participation of staff in the institution's decisions, promote open communication, and retirement preparation programs to provide guidance on this phase, as well as personal and social development. Other elements such as salary improvement and benefits appear as factors of quality of life at work. However, it is important that the institution can provide with actions to qualify the pre-retirement workers for the “new” life, such as employability and organizational improvements.
