A Editora da UEA atua de maneira estratégica e articulada com os profissionais de ensino e pesquisa da instituição a fim de construir um catálogo de livros e periódicos pautado na relevância acadêmica e social, na qualidade e na atualidade da produção bibliográfica produzida no âmbito da Universidade e/ou por autores de instituições parceiras.Por meio de seu corpo técnico, edita obras de natureza acadêmica, científica e cultural nas diversas áreas do conhecimento, sobretudo, aquelas resultantes de pesquisas especializadas, promovidas e/ou desenvolvidas na UEA ou com parceria desta. Desta forma, a Editora Universitária da Universidade do Estado do Amazonas assume para si os compromissos de auxiliar no suprimento de bibliografias para o ensino - em especial, o universitário - e construir um espaço de integração entre o saber científico produzido no âmbito da Universidade e os principais centros de difusão/ produção intelectual e cultural do Brasil. A Editora responsabiliza-se também pela distribuição e comercialização de sua produção editorial no circuito universitário e no mercado editorial nacional e internacional sob a forma de convênios e parcerias com agências de fomento nacionais e internacionais, e estabelecendo intercâmbio bibliográfico com outras editoras universitárias, bibliotecas e entidades congêneres.

This volume is the result of the work and experiences of the students on the Specialization Course in “Knowledge and Practices for Teaching in the Early Years of Elementary School: Portuguese Language and Mathematics”. Held between August 2022 and December 2024, in the face-to-face modality mediated by technology, the course served around three thousand students from the Amazonas public school system, reaching 61 municipalities in our state. The project aimed to provide qualification, at the postgraduate level (specialization), both for teachers and pedagogues of Primary Education - initial years (1st to 5th grade), and for the 1st segment of Education for Young People and Adults (EJA), in view of the development and appropriation of knowledge of methodological proposals already established, as well as new technologies about the pedagogical practice of Portuguese Language and Mathematics in the grades for which the course was intended.

The didactic-educational work “Academic Adventures in the English Language” was developed to help train English language teachers in the interior of Amazonas. The work was produced and evaluated by the teaching staff and general/pedagogical coordination of the Technology-Mediated On-site English Language Degree course at the Amazonas State University - Escola Normal Superior.
