From the year 2010 onwards, they were implemented, with support from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development ( CNPq), the Institutional Programs for Scientific Initiation Scholarships (PIBIC and PIBIC-Af), and for Initiation in Technological Development and Innovation (PIBITI). The 2021-2022 edition was guided by notice No. 016/2021–GR/UEA. 474 students and 299 faculty advisors participated in this edition, developing scientific initiation projects in five UEA units located in Manaus (Escola Superior de Ciências da Saúde, Escola Superior de Artes e Turismo, Escola Normal Superior, Escola Superior de Tecnologia, Escola Superior de Social Sciences) and five Higher Studies Centers located in the interior of the State (Center for Higher Studies of Itacoatiara, Center for Higher Studies of Tabatinga, Center for Higher Studies of Parintins, Center for Higher Studies of Tefé and Center for Higher Studies of São Gabriel da Cachoeira). The 2020-2021 edition of the UEA Scientific and Technological Initiation Program was developed with support from the Amazonas State Research Support Foundation and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development and guided by notice Nº036/2020–GR/UEA and the Supplementary notice No. 057/2020-GR/UEA. 410 students and 391 faculty advisors participated in this edition, developing scientific initiation projects in five UEA units located in Manaus (Higher School of Health Sciences, Higher School of Arts and Tourism, Higher Normal School, Higher School of Technology, Higher School of Social Sciences) and five Higher Studies Centers located in the interior of the State (Center for Higher Studies of Itacoatiara, Center for Higher Studies of Tabatinga, Center for Higher Studies of Parintins, Center for Higher Studies of Tefé and Center for Higher Studies of São Gabriel da Cachoeira).
