Resumo
This article aims to present the application of mathematical modeling using the 1st degree polynomial function, in the consumption of electrical energy as a strategy for teaching and learning students. The study's methodology was bibliographical research with a qualitative approach of an interpretative nature, which was based on research to collect data from secondary sources related to the theme of this study. The results of this study report that the use of mathematical modeling as a teaching and learning methodology points to positive aspects. Where you can see a greater interest among students in studying mathematics, solving problem situations directly linked to their daily lives. Making learning more satisfying and meaningful for them.
