Turismo acessível e meios de hospedagem: o uso de processos inovadores no atendimento ao turista em hotéis do Centro de Manaus - AM

Abstract

This research brings the survey of the accessibility in the means of lodging of the Historical Center of Manaus, seeking the identification of the difficulties encountered by people with disability in the tourism experience. The research problem is in the identification of points that show if the sector of means of lodging is attending, in an innovative way, the necessities of people with disability or reduced mobility around important tourist attractions. The general objective is to analyze the use of innovative processes for the care of people with disabilities or reduced mobility in the means of lodging located close to the main attractions of the Historic Center of Manaus. The specific objectives are the characterization of disability and accessible tourism from the academic literature, the identification in legislation of what requirements should be observed by the hotel chain to meet the needs of the person with disabilities or reduced mobility and the characterization of innovation and hotel management from the academic literature, as well as the analysis of the existence of innovative hotel management processes to meet the needs of people with disabilities or reduced mobility in the mentioned lodging facilities. The method used was deductive, with the application of questionnaires in means of lodging located in the Center of Manaus - AM and bibliographic research.
