Praças D. Pedro II, Matriz e Remédios: produtos turísticos

Abstract

This work involves the squares of Manaus located in the Historical Center of the city, having as delimitation the D. Pedro II, Matriz and Remédios Squares. As for its development, we opted for the bibliographic research, which had as support works by authors who approached the theme, deserving mention OtoniMesquita, Durango Duarte, Etelvina Garcia, Margarita Barreto, Maria Evany do Nascimento among others. Through these authors, it was sought the valorization of the aforementioned squares that integrate the various historical moments since the founding of the city of Manaus, valuing them historically, as well as demonstrating their value with regard to local identity. As for the content, this is presented in five chapters that cover, in a brief way, the themes related to Patrimony, Cultural Patrimony, Cultural Tourism, historical brief of the city of Manaus, concept of public square, the squares mentioned above with their respective surroundings, where the monuments and buildings of historical value are highlighted, and finally the Touristic Route whose initial route starts from D. Pedro II Square, Matriz Square and, finally, Remédios Square. The conclusion of this work, involving D. Pedro II Square, Matriz Square and Remédios Square, creates a tourism product – Guide/Itenerary, aiming to awaken in the local resident the desire of belonging, local identity, as well as the preservation and valorization of the historical patrimony of the city of Manaus.
