Resumo
The Youth and Adult Education, Ballroom Dance enables the reflection of emotions, affectivity and body communication as well as other artistic languages, enhancing, in addition to physical aspects, the educational, social, critical and perceptive aspects that stimulate the practitioners' creativity and expressiveness. The present research has as general objective to understand the view that EJA Teachers have about the content of ballroom dancing as a possibility in the teaching of Art in the school space, having as specific objectives: to analyze the curriculum structure of Youth and Adult Education as to the teaching of Art and Ballroom Dance; identify, in the view of the Teachers, the difficulties inherent in the teaching-learning process in EJA and analyze the understanding of Teachers regarding the possibility of developing the content of ballroom dancing as a mediator of the teaching-learning of Art in EJA. The instruments used were semi-structured interviews with teachers from the public education system of Manaus da EJA in a school in the central area of the city. Through the analysis of the interviews, it can be said that the teachers understand the importance of ballroom dancing as a content in the teaching of Art, they suggest an adaptation to the reality of teaching, in which they report several difficulties and challenges. Therefore, through the applications of interviews with teachers, the importance of ballroom dancing in EJA became clear, the shortage of professionals in the field of Ballroom Dance at school, which hinders the development of specific studies of the modality, in addition to the physical and pedagogical structural problems , as well as overcoming the plurality of the EJA public.
