Resumo
The present study consists of bringing possible propositions that can dialogue Locking
Dance in the school space. Having as target high school students from a public school
in the north of Manaus. The objective of the work was to investigate and perceive
images from the Locking Dance and reading the body in the environment as triggers
for creation in Dance. In this way, we used the methodology in field research, where
an initial invitation was necessary for students from the 1st to the 3rd year of high
school, fifteen people from a mixed group (boys and girls) accepted, but we ended up
with only nine students. The proposed activities were named as laboratories, we
managed to carry out seven laboratories, in the lunch break, and as a final example
the video recording. During the activities, data collection occurred through
observations, photographic records, videos and analyzed in a field diary. As a result,
we observed that the study brought significant perceptions about Locking Dance
through the use of images, as well as the use of the nomenclatures of the movements
written on paper, which were fundamental in each laboratory, making it possible to
develop autonomy of the students in the elaboration of choreographic movements and
artistic manifestation in the school space.
