Resumo
This research aims to analyze how the state schools of Manaus work in history
classes, heritage education and tourism as an item of knowledge and rescue of the
Amazonian identity. The methodology used is characterized as a case study, inserted
in the qualitative-interpretative mold. For this, the perceptions of it begin, about
Heritage Education and Tourism as a teaching-learning tool in the state public school,
with the high school grades, through a broad and comprehensive view of its
pedagogical practice parallel to the discipline of History. To support this study, this
research used, among other concepts, cultural heritage, heritage education and
cultural tourism: Carneiro et. al (2021), Federal Constitution of 1988; UNESCO, Horta
et. (1999), Beni (2007), among other authors. Next, there are the analyses of the
questionnaire, aimed at history teachers who teach classes for high school. The
results obtained indicate that in the opinion of teachers the teaching of heritage
education and tourism in schools is important, and that the themes have already
been mentioned at least once in the classroom during some contents about the
history of amazonas. Also according to the interviewees, in their view, the students
know little and value the Amazon
