Iniciação à flauta transversal : desenvolvimento da embocadura individual

Abstract

The learning of the embouchure is fundamental for the flutist formation, of being one of the bases of its performance. Knowing the elements of the instrument, as well as your functions will help in the application of this technique. Therefore, we showed which parts compose the flute mouthpiece and its functions associated to the process of sonorous production. We pointed what authors say about the embouchure structure, how it must be elaborated, which difficulties are related to the teaching and we evidenced the individual embouchure concept. Although the teacher isn't the only element of this process, he holds a significant and relevant part in the learning of the instrument, therefore, we described how your posture must be and which pedagogical tools must be inserted in class. We verified that it's necessary to approach the teaching in an individualized way and due to this we enumerated some exercises that might be useful for the embouchure building, since the conception of the use of facial musculature until the first sounds with the assembled flute. Having in mind that the initial cares in the embouchure approach are overriding, because this is an element with deep implications in the flautist’s career. Keywords: Flute. Embouchure.
