Resumo

The present work was the result of a research carried out in two classes of the sixth grade of Barão de Boca do Acre State School and its objective was to evaluate the effectiveness of ludic resources in Environmental Education as a tool in raising students' awareness. The research was developed in four stages: a) pre-intervention observations, in which photographic records were made, b) application of the lessons, which were planned in a playful manner and according to the factors detected in the previous step, c) post-observation. - intervention, in which photographic records were also made and d) comparison of theoretical knowledge between the classes through a questionnaire. The results show that the lack of knowledge about practices that aim to reduce environmental impacts, the 3Rs, has been a key factor for the constant increase of solid waste production in the school and possibly in the municipality. Still according to the results obtained, it was proved that with the use of playfulness in Environmental Education it is possible to sensitize students to think in an environmentally conscious way and act in a sustainable way and that this sustainability that is increasingly hampered by capitalism and consumerism is an essential step in securing an ecologically balanced planet, which is a right defended in law for all.
