Resumo
This study aims to diagnose the teaching practice in the teaching of biology in public
schools of the urban area in the municipality of Boca do Acre, Amazonas and thus, to
record the methodologies used by teachers for the development of biology classes,
identifying the main difficulties for the Biology Teaching. In the municipality there are
four schools that teach high school. For the survey data was carried out a diagnostic
research in schools to know how many and who are the teachers of biology of the
schools of the urban area in exercise in the year 2019. Being made a questionnaire
that was elaborated in a way that gave support for personal identification the
professional, allowing us to find out what the teacher's view of Biology Teaching is and
the difficulties he faces in his teaching practice. Regarding the difficulties faced by
teachers, it is clear that they share them, such as the lack of didactic resources, cited
by 71.43%. However, it is notorious that these difficulties are not linked to the fact that
they are using various methodologies to apply their classes, demonstrating concern
about the meaningful teaching-learning process. It was concluded that the teaching
practice in Biology teaching in Boca do Acre is in good hands, with qualified teachers
and committed to success in their profession.
