Resumo
The present work aimed to investigate the influence and contribution of the Pedagogical Residency Program in the teacher training of the Residents of the Biological Sciences course at the Center for Higher Studies of Parintins/CESP/UEA. As for the means of investigation, the present work has a qualitative approach, with descriptive and analytical specificity. To meet the objective of the work, questionnaires were organized with open questions applied with pedagogical residents of the Biological Sciences course and open and closed questions with the Preceptors. Thus, 17 pedagogical residents of a Biology subproject of the Pedagogical Residency Program (PRP) and 03 Preceptors were invited to answer the questionnaire. The data obtained in this study indicated that there are many challenges to be faced by future Biology teachers. In this way, it was also evidenced that the PRP influences very positively and contributes by adding relevant knowledge to the future teacher. In particular, the opportunity to have the support of a teacher with more experience for the inclusion of academics in the daily life of the school.
