Resumo
This research aimed to identify, in the available studies, what are the
managerial contributions of professional nurses to health quality. It is a
integrative literature review, which included 9 articles, which were subjected to analysis
of contents by Bardin, based on Donabedian's Systemic Structuring Model.
As a result of this analysis, 3 categories and 4 thematic subcategories were obtained: 1)
Structure - Human resources management: quantification, qualification and
relationship; 2) Process - Planning as a management tool in promoting
quality assistance and Communication as a management tool
risks; and 3) Result - Health quality assessment actions. From these, it was
possible to identify the nurse as a promoter of the culture of quality in health services
Nursing and health, through the actions of: management direction and control, management of
human resources, administrative planning and risk management. Despite the
identification of the quality triad described by Donabedian, it is still necessary to
development of research with a broader view on the topic in the area of
Nursing, mainly, about: management of physical and environmental resources,
conflict negotiation, decision making and, technologies and innovation as contributions
management skills of professional nurses to quality management
