O Software GeoGebra na aprendizagem de funções: um estudo com acadêmicos do curso de Matemática do CESP-UEA

Abstract

This study explores the integration of GeoGebra software in learning functions, highlighting the need for future mathematics teachers to master this tool for more meaningful teaching-learning. This is a qualitative and descriptive research, with the general objective of understanding the contributions of the GeoGebra software in learning functions with academics from the Mathematics course at CESP/UEA. Aiming to achieve this objective, we used the respective methodological procedures: data triangulation, application of two semi-structured questionnaires, development of two workshops and a structured interview with 34 academics from the 3rd and 6th period, revealing that, despite the prevalence of traditional methods, GeoGebra helps in visualizing and assimilating concepts. Most recognized the pedagogical benefits of the software. It is concluded that balancing traditional methods with tools such as GeoGebra promotes an interactive learning environment, facilitating student understanding and transforming the pedagogical practice of teachers in training.
