A Confecção de cestaria como um organizador prévio da aprendizagem matemática para alunos do ensino médio

Abstract

This work presents the results of a qualitative research that seeks answers to the problem: in what terms does basket weaving become a prior organizer of mathematical learning for high school students? The general objective is to understand how basket making can become a prior organizer of mathematical learning for high school students. The data was constructed through systematic observation, photographic records, document analysis and semi-structured interviews with two artisans from the city of Parintins. The analysis of two data was carried out using the triangulation method. From two results obtained, it can be seen that the process of making baskets mobilizes mathematical ideas implicit in the techniques used or that it allows the contextualization of mathematical content taught in high school, consequently, making these objects an anchor for meaningful learning.
